brave bird — “scared enough”

Just recently signed to Count Your Lucky Stars, brave bird is from michigan. they’ve got this post-hardcore thing going. like castevet, this town needs guns, maybe a slower moving mountains. like brand new in their earnestness. surprisingly good and complex, restrained in the right places, powerful in all the rest.

you can find a link to their free ep over here.

slam donahue - “no more talking”

had no idea what this was. crazy falsetto with maxxed lo-fi over cheap beats. the sound you hear in any 20-something dive. but there’s beauty in the debasement of our good tastes here, and slam donahue has the anthems to make our summer feel good.
